When I recently launched by free Intern program I really didn’t know what to expect. I had no ideas how many people would actually do the tasks, and I had even less idea how people would react to the opportunity.
Let’s just say that the reaction has been hugely positive and I’ve been shocked by the workrate AND the quality.
I don’t say this lightly but the work of my Interns FAR exceeds that of any paid contractor I might find on a freelance site. The quality has been simply incredible.
Let me tell you that the vast majority of marketers in my Intern program are extremely talented and have a fantastic work ethic too.
At the end of every week Interns have to apply to move to the next week in the process. My assistant reviews the work they’ve done, and then makes a decision about whether they can progress based upon criteria that I give.
This isn’t theory. Interns are actually working on my business in real time which is why I insist that my assistant check each application carefully before deciding if they can progress or not.
If an Intern is doing sub standard work then I simply can’t allow them to continue as the risk to my reputation is just too high.
But here’s where it gets REALLY interesting…
I’ve had over 100 Interns request access to week 2. And do you know how many I’ve had to reject? Not one!
The standard has blown me away and I feel double happy that every Intern who has requested progression has submitted incredible work.
This has created a few problems though…
Because so many Interns have been completing the work to a high standard we’ve been swamped with progression applications and a slight bottleneck developed.
The good news is that we’ve now managed to clear this, and so all applications for progression will be processed within the next 24 hours.
It’s been a bit of a problem but it’s a nice problem to have!
(it’s a much better problem than Interns doing no work for example!)
Anyway, if you’re waiting for a reply then please hang in there for another 24 hours….I’m coming for you as we speak. 
Thanks to EVERYONE who has participated in the Intern program. Organising this project has been a double challenge but each nice comment makes it feel worthwhile….

I know how big a project this must be and over 100 of us plus more coming on?? You must already have a great team in place! I have already learned so much that I am applying to my own business. Actually it was nice to have a break between week 2 and 3 to get back to my own sites
