My guess is you did some outsourcing that got high profile stumble users to stumble your sites, and you got visitors because of being featured on their profiles

Nice guess Chris but no cigar!

Keep the guesses coming and I’ll reveal the answer in Friday’s newsletter :)

My guess is that you wrote a really nice and beneficial article and it just took a home run with the user of stumbleupon really liking it! :?:

Hi Lee,

My guess is that you get your intern to stumble your site for you.

My guess would be that you got your interns to vote on Stumble for one specific article that you have written. This got the article ranked highly on Stumbleupon and created a surge of visitors. The fact that you only mention 1258 visitors on one day does suggest that you only saw a traffic ’spike’ and that you are not getting a constant stream of visitors every day at that level.

Furthermore, 1258 visitors may sound impressive but only if they actually contribute to your business in some way. Did any of them purchase anything, or – at the very least – sign up for your list?

My own experience of Stumbleupon visitors is that they are pretty low quality when it comes to purchasing IM products.

You wrote a post for another high ranking blog and linked back to your blog and you were followed and stumbledupon.

I’m guessing that you have an active StumbleUpon account and are a respected member of that community. You wrote a great, content-rich article and one of your Stumble circle Stumbled it and it took off from there. (Here’s hoping!)

I know how.

Lee will know what I’m saying if this is I’m indeed correct.

Lee I believe you purchase stumble traffic for .05 cents

I have just been watching your video for Automatic Traffic Blast, Lee, and it seems like you used it to achieve this result. Sounds like a great product, and of course it is if you created it.

I can’t wait till someone gets this right!

I was checking my analytics this evening and I saw something that reminded me of this post. One of my old abandoned projects that gets no traffic, suddenly got 512 uniques in one day from StumbleUpon! My graph just shows a massive spike in a sea of nothing! I would love to know how that happened so I could replicate it… daily!

Anyone got any ideas??

My guess is that you had some good stumbles and people wanted to know “who is this guy thats stumbling all of these great websites?” -So they clicked on your profile and saw the link to your website ….a
