How Unique Youtube Marketing Ideas Boosted My Profits

I wanted to share with you a very valuable marketing technique that I’ve been testing recently.  The results are still coming in, but what I’ve seen so far has shown me that this technique is an incredibly powerful way to drive more traffic, gain higher conversions and more subscribers.

But first you have to promise that you will absorb the information I’m sharing.  Just because I’m sharing this on my blog for free doesn’t mean it has no value.  It does, and the smart cookies out there are going to be testing this for themselves very soon.

Okay, I came up with this technique while selling a $97 dollar product in the education niche.  When the customer purchases and heads to the download page they find a video I installed directly underneath a headline congratulating them on their purchase.

The video congratulates them on their purchase and quickly explains the benefits that they, as customers, could expect to receive.  The message was congratulatory in tone and left the person watching in doubt that they had a great deal.

In the video I also encouraged the customer to opt in below, and this had a huge impact on the numbers of customers signing up to my newsletter from the download page.  It was very high before but now it’s just short of 100%.

But here’s where this traffic tactic gets interesting.  You see, I didn’t host the video myself.  In fact, I uploaded it to Youtube so that anyone could view it.

And, as you probably know, when you upload a video to Youtube you get to put a link into the description box which appears next to where the video plays.

Here I put a link to the sales page of the product.  And the effects of this were off the chart!

Think about it for a second.  You’re stumbling around Youtube one day and see this video with a guy telling everyone what a great purchase they’ve just made and how they have got their hands upon the best set of educational resources imaginable.

Now, this is going to peak the interest of the guy watching on Youtube.  I know that if I saw a video like this it would make me super curious as to what the people on the inside were about to download.

People are naturally curious beings.  And if you can poke their curiosity by giving them a little taste of what they might be about to receive then you can generate some stellar results.

In the teaching niche where I tested this I got more clickthroughs from that Youtube video than any other I’ve produced.  And not only that.  I got more conversions too.

More and more people are going to be looking at Youtube and  video marketing in the coming years as internet connections speeds get faster.  And if you experiment, and play around with different ideas, then you have a chance to give yourself a real edge over the competition as this exciting medium become more prevalent.

This litter video marketing technique not only increased my subscriber rate, but it also increased my traffic and my sales too. And the video only took about ten minutes to make.

How to Set Up an Opt In Box With DLguard

Everyone knows the value of building a list, which is why it’s so important to collect your customer’s email addresses. All businesses, whether offline or online, need to keep in touch with their prospects if they are to maximise their profits.

One pretty neat way to build a list is to drive traffic from eBay and then collect customer opt ins as they hit the download page. If you use DLguard as the delivery method for the products then you can also modify the download page so that it automatically completes customer information in the opt in box.

So What ARE the Secrets to Making Money Online

When I first started trying to make money online I had some pretty quick successes.  I figured out what people were looking for, I created this product, and then I put together a sales page.

I listed it on eBay and I sold my first item less than an hour later.  That was July 2006.  I felt empowered by this sale and continued making similar products, all of which sold VERY well on eBay.

The money was rolling in, and to say I was happy would be an understatement.  But then something very odd happened.  In an effort to take my earnings to the next level I started reading about internet marketing when ever I could.

And all of a sudden, and without even realizing, I found myself completely distracted from the first business that had proved so successful.  When I look back now even I don’t know quite what happened.

One minute I was flying high selling niche products on eBay, and the next I was knee deep reading ebook after ebook.  And all the while I neglected my profitable business in the search of instant online riches.

It was almost as if I got caught up in a whirlwind of hype and internet marketing secrets, and instead of concentrating on building a successful business model, I was chasing this illusionary dream of fast cars and fancy apartments.

And it was all the more frustrating because before I got distracted I had a solid business model that was working.  And I neglected this business while chasing after invisible shadows, and ebooks full of hype.

I came out the other side of course, and I’m now doing very well for myself.  But the message I learned from my experience is this.  Building a business online is exactly the same as building any kind of business.

Find a product that’s in demand and then offer that product to a hungry market.  Do this and there’s a good chance you can make money, online or offline. 

The real secret to making money online is that you need to take the same offline business principles and apply them to your e-business.  Sure, the rules might be a little different, but the core business principles are the same.

Remember this “secret” and stop chasing dreams, and you’ll double your chances of success overnight.

Make Money Online With Lee McIntyre

A very warm welcome to the new Lee McIntyre blog. It’s my hope that over the coming weeks and months I can share my internet marketing knowledge with as wide an audience as possible.

But before I get started, I think it’s a good idea to tell you a little bit about me. Well, where do I start? I’m a school teacher from the UK and I love my job.
