Well, I never expected that the pictures that I posted last week, giving you an insight into my personal life, would prove SO popular!

I’ve lost count of the number of emails that I’ve received asking for more.  Well, you know how it works here at Lee-McIntyre.com……if you ask for it then you get it!

Remember last week when I showed you the VERY neat and tidy desk? Well, I guess that’s not the REAL Lee McIntyre!  Look below for the view to the right of my desk….

You, see I REALLY am quite disorganised! And the other side of the room is even worse

Below you can see two recent Clickbank cheques.  I shouldn’t really still have them since yesterday I made a 2 hour trip to see the bank manager and to pay in all my cheques.

I was so happy with myself for completing this task, until I discovered that I’d forgotten two of them!  Grrrrr.

So what do I do when I’m not steering the good ship Lee-McIntyre.com?  Well, I like to play football, to go running, and walking, and I like to cycle too.

In fact, when I’m really stuck on a project, I like nothing more than jumping on my bike and going for a quick cycle.  I find that the exercise really helps clear my head, and believe it or not I get a lot of my better ideas this way!

If you’re struggling for inspiration then get outdoors and it might just take your mind off it! This REALLY works for me, and I always come back feeling really refreshed.

Another thing that works for me is moving around and working in different places.  If I get frustrated, sometimes I find that taking the laptop outside works a treat.  I think I need to do some gardening though judging by this picture

I’m in a bit of a routine of working on the desktop during the day, and then when I have a really big project, working on my laptop downstairs in the evening.  I just find that the change helps to keep my mind fresh!

Give First and Receive More Back Later!

One thing that I believe passionately in, is the power of giving first, and receiving second.  If you try and help out others to the best of your ability, then life has a way of paying you back double.

I know this sounds a bit “wacky”, but I firmly believe that this is true.

And this applies to your online business too.  If you try and help out others, then when you need help you will find it available in spades.

One man who gives a LOT is Colm Butterly from Diamond Rack hosting.

Not only has he been impressing everyone with his incredible helpfulness on the Standing Start Profits forums, but he has also personally helped Lee-McIntyre.com in ways that goes far beyond the call of duty.

This site is now hosted with Colm’s excellent Diamond Rack hosting, and the service has been nothing short of incredible.  He managed the move smoothly, and communicated with me thoroughly at every available opportunity.

And he even stayed up until 4am to do the move so that it could be done while the traffic was at its lowest point!

Behind the Scenes at Lee-McIntyre.com

Too many marketers hide behind a wall of hype, always trying to make themselves appear bigger than they actually are.

Well, that’s not the way we do things here at Lee-McIntyre.com….below you can see how unglamorous my life is here at the Lee-McIntyre.com towers!

The picture above is my desk in my spare bedroom, which is fast becoming a home office.  This is where I wrote Auction Profits Unleashed, Auto Auction Income and the Big Fat eBay Lie.

In fact, this is where I write everything!

I live on a new housing estate, that is still being built (slowly!!).  This week has been a real hassle trying to write the Big Fat eBay Lie, and this newsletter, due to the builders deciding to make as much noise as possible!

Above and below you can see the booming that has being going on outside my study all week! 

I think that if it wasn’t for the builders then I would have had the newsletter completed a day early INSTEAD of a day late…..at least that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

I get a lot of emails asking how do I come up with so many great ideas.  The success so far here at Lee-McIntyre.com is not that I have lots of great ideas, it’s that I write the ideas down that I do have.

Everyone comes up with fantastic ideas.  But most forget them almost as quick!

I used to be the same, but now I write down each and every one.  Then I have a flick through my notepad, and I can just pick one for my next project.

What’s my next project after the upcoming Auction Secret Profits book?  Only the notepad knows the answer now

Maybe I should sell it on eBay, and then make sure all the websites I write down are viral affiliate links?  Maybe that’s an idea to write in the notepad!

A New Focus For Lee-McIntyre.com!

Last week I talked about how I was really struggling to decide whether to concentrate on being a teacher or a marketer.  The explosion in business here at Lee-McIntyre.com has meant that it’s certainly not possible to do both anymore.

Well, I’ve been wrestling with this issue for quite some time, and I’ve finally reached a conclusion.

I want to become a full time marketer!

After the supportive messages over the past few days, I’ve finally decided to go for it. I figure that I can get the enjoyment out of teaching others how to build their online business and by doing some part time volunteering classroom work too.

So what do you think?

Am I crazy or sensible?  Is this the decision that will I look back on with fondness or regret?

Lee-McIntyre.com and a Huge Decision!

My regular readers know that I like to do everything here at Lee-McIntyre.com with a personal touch.

I answer all the emails I receive.  I go out of my way to help people. 

And I treat my subscribers like real people, and not like statistics to be taken advantage of like so many other marketers out there.

But as my business gets bigger, it’s not possible to keep up this personal level of attention AND be a full time teacher at the same time.

I love doing both, but I’m fast approaching a point where this is no longer going to be possible.

I’m at a crossroads and a BIG decision is looming!
