Are You Following Up With Your Customers?

by Lee McIntyre on November 21, 2008

Today I was doing a spot of organising and I noticed a thank you card that I’d received sometime ago…

The card was from Tara at Transcription team and it was a thank you for referring a regular reader of this blog.

You can see the card below…

How long do you think it took Tara to send this? Probably a few minutes at the most.

And how much do you think it cost? Probably no more than a dollar or so.

Even though this was quick, easy, and cheap to mail out it still had a powerful impact when I opened it.

I was deeply grateful that someone had taken the time to send this to me, and I felt a sudden urge to reciprocate in some way.

How? By ordering more transcriptions and referring more customers!

This is powerful stuff.

Are you following up with your customers as much as you should?

Do they know that you appreciate them?

Do you tell them?

Go out of your way right now to express appreciation to your customers and you’ll invoke the kind of powerful reciprocity that will lead to an increase in your profits. I absolutely guarantee it…

Hi Lee

I’ll pop a comment here…

Very good point you make here – it keeps business relations strong and reciprocal, simple and powerful but sometimes overlooked!

The same could be said for your affiliates or JV partners too…

Regards

Ray

Its definitely amazing what a simple letter of thanks can do for you if you take the time to do it! It will set up a nice relationship, and it certainly doesn’t hurt to do it
