Behind the Scenes at Lee-McIntyre.com
By Lee McIntyre | August 23, 2007
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. You can also sign up for my extremely popular FREE newsletter by clicking HERE. Thanks for visiting!
This week I’ve been incredibly busy writing, and releasing my first FREE report with master resell rights. If you haven’t already done so then download ‘the Big Fat eBay Lie’ by clicking HERE now.
Do you want to see where the writing took place? Do you want to get a glimpse behind the Lee-McIntyre.com curtain?
I hope so, because that’s exactly what I’m going to show you!
Too many marketers hide behind a wall of hype, always trying to make themselves appear bigger than they actually are.
Well, that’s not the way we do things here at Lee-McIntyre.com….below you can see how unglamorous my life is here at the Lee-McIntyre.com towers!

The picture above is my desk in my spare bedroom, which is fast becoming a home office. This is where I wrote Auction Profits Unleashed, Auto Auction Income and the Big Fat eBay Lie.
In fact, this is where I write everything!
I live on a new housing estate, that is still being built (slowly!!). This week has been a real hassle trying to write the Big Fat eBay Lie, and this newsletter, due to the builders deciding to make as much noise as possible!

Above and below you can see the booming that has being going on outside my study all week!
I think that if it wasn’t for the builders then I would have had the newsletter completed a day early INSTEAD of a day late…..at least that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

I get a lot of emails asking how do I come up with so many great ideas. The success so far here at Lee-McIntyre.com is not that I have lots of great ideas, it’s that I write the ideas down that I do have.
Everyone comes up with fantastic ideas. But most forget them almost as quick!
I used to be the same, but now I write down each and every one. Then I have a flick through my notepad, and I can just pick one for my next project.

What’s my next project after the upcoming Auction Secret Profits book? Only the notepad knows the answer now
Maybe I should sell it on eBay, and then make sure all the websites I write down are viral affiliate links? Maybe that’s an idea to write in the notepad!
I hope you’ve enjoyed the mini tour here at Lee-McIntyre.com……as always please leave any feedback you can as it’s always very well received.
I look forward to hearing from you!

Great tip with the note pad Lee
And it’s nice to see more of ‘the normal’ guy behind the growing empire….lol
However - next time, it might be nice to see a picture of you and your Girlfriend (if she’s not camera shy), as it’ nice to know there’s a human being on the end of the emails and posts.
So far everyone thinks you look like the guy on Standing Start Profits….!!!!
(It’s just a graphic people!)
Great newsletter as usual Lee - although you may have blown it now !
(You’re not supposed to tell people they actually need to ‘Work’ their business!!!!!) - but then you will insist on being different.
Catch ya later

Hi Lee was wondering how you managed to take the photographs of the workers during the day?, then I remembered 6 weeks hols.
We mere mortals get by on 20 days, and no I would not swap you jobs if it mean”t that I had to spend hours with other peoples little (be careful here Fran) darlings.
Yes you are right Lee about how quickly time has passed since you started this newsletter/forum, I think it is mainly due to the fact that we look forward to receiving the next issue.
Just to endorse what Randy said great content and advice as per usual, and proof it works with regard getting people involved this I believe is my third posting never posted before even though I have joined numerous other forums now unsubscribed.
Will finish with a quote from the lad himself (Tony Hancock) refering to Griselda ( Hattie Jaques) “I thought my mother was a bad cook but at least her gravy used to move about a bit, yours just sort of lies there and sets).
Till next time
Fran

Thanks for the informative newsletter. I am just a newbie here, and was very impressed by the “neatness” of your desk. Did you clean it for the photos? The notepad is an invaluable idea.
So very nice to hear of yur hard work. Please keep the reality aspect of your letters.

Where did you get your desk from?
I’m in need of one, since I got a new computer I’ve had to use a really old crappy desk that I can barely fit my legs under!

Hi Lee just had to drop in and see the pics after reading the newsletter. Another great edition btw.
I’m amazed that you keep your desk so tidy. I know mine is a mess here at work but then again I have 374 computers and 58 teachers to take care of so there is a constant bombardment of paperwork going by my desk.
Anyway great pics and loved the newsletter.
Take care

Randy - the picture is coming….I just thought people would prefer to see a picture of my PC first?!
Frank - I remember what it was like to only get 20 days holiday. It’s pants isn’t it? Although, at the end of a long and busy term you really do need the rest!
Having said that, I don’t feel like I’ve had much rest recently
Pat - I have a confession to make….I actually had to spend about 20 minutes cleaning it! But I couldn’t publish a picture full of dirty cups and chewed pen lids could I?!
Dan - I love the picture!! No wonder your Boomerang List Builder is taking so long when you’re stuck behind that desk!
Nice view from the window though….bit better than the loud workmen I have to look at
Hi Rick - this was my home desk…..you should see my school desk! When we have a tidy I generally just sweep everything into a drawer.
At the end of the term I always find some interesting stuff in there!
Thanks for the comments everyone…..keep them coming

You have got me into real trouble!!!
There I was singing your praises to my wife when I clicked through to a picture of your desk. “That how he produces so much” she said “look how clear his desk is. All efficient people are like that”.
She looked at my desk. Full of paper.-I work on the principle that if it is important it will rise to the top of the pile of paperwork and then get dealt with.
So please show a picture of your desk as it normally is please. Otherwise I won’t get any peace round here.
I was going to tell you how great your work is. How much I admired and appreciated your ebooks and newsletter. But now you have got me into real trouble with She Who Thinks She Should Be Obeyed, I won’t.

Hey Lee,
Great newsletter as usual! It’s nice to see where you work - Mine is a bigger mess than Dan’s
I notice you forgot to write down some good product ideas on the notepad before you took the photo. (Please update it, LOL)
Keep up the GREAT work Lee!
Thanks
