Lee,

Very good video and one I think a lot of people will benefit from. I think as marketers we sometimes get in a hurry and forget about the fact we need to do less copy and paste offers to potential JV partners. Instead as you mentioned we should be speaking the language of our potential JV partner and make them an offer they can’t refuse.

I am guilty myself of being in a hurry often but the best results have always been the ones I’ve taken the time to understand the needs of the other marketer.

Great Job on this.

Lee is a top manchester guy,I just need to put it together myself.
He is a guy that you can really trust and genuinely want to help.
Your freebie’s are a god send ps not to keen on Utd tho, City are better  Thank You

5 Alan January 27, 2009 at 10:01 am

Hi Lee, that was a really useful video and it’s timing is brilliant as I am just at the point of looking for JV partners. My new eBook “Guerrilla FOREX” is on clickbank but until I get some sales it will probably remain invisible to potential buyers. Without your video I would have gone down the ’scattergun’ route; now I will definitely look for some offers that JVs simply cannot refuse. Once again Lee, many thanks for some great free content. Cheers, Alan

Hi Lee,

Great video (as always) and I can see where you are coming from but as a newbie (I’m getting to hate that phrase) I’m wondering what I could possibly have to offer someone like yourself when I’m the one learning from you. :???:
I guess it all comes with time and confidence in yourself.
Thank you for all your freebies though – lots of food for thought. And if by any chance I win the lottery I’ll be making an offer for that football

7 Welly Mulia January 27, 2009 at 8:37 pm

Hey there Lee,

As usualy nice video, especially for people looking to find ways to JV correctly.

You definitely made a great point there that the person with the list is the one who is needed (and therefore in total control) and we as product owners should come up with something of value to offer so that our JV proposals get a “YES”!

Cheers!
Welly Mulia

Lee, you actually come out with a great inventory of jv partner techniques that totally knock my sucks off. And the most amazing thing was that you really spoke directly to me in that clip of video.

Thank you Lee for giving me a head start of what I have to do up front in order to convince these sort after laser jv. I’m on my way now…

I agree with much of what you said Lee…but the way I go about it is I START by building relationships based on a product I want to create. So I’m looking for the JV’s before I have the product. And since the product isn’t ready, I start by just having conversations with them on the subject I’m thinking about developing.

There are so many sites online and so many various partnerships you can create…that I prefer to find them before I create the product and that way every product is profitable as soon as it’s ready…plus the JV’s get some input which makes the final product even better! And they can assist with back-end products.

So my JV Scalpel approach has always been “Begin with the End in Mind”

Some interesting comments. As someone with a hearing problem, it would be helpful to see at least some of the points in text! Good quality sound though. Wondering how suitable this approach is for someone like me….
I should also say thanks for the freebie!

13 Patrick Clarke January 28, 2009 at 1:41 am

Well worth listening to this presentation – if and when I have my own product and want JV partners, I’ll feel one step ahead of the game. Many thanks.

14 Rod Jellison January 28, 2009 at 7:41 am

Thoroughly enjoyed your take on “JV Scalpel” methodology. Excellent content and ideas and what I enjoy most is that this has come from your actual experience and not just theory.
Thanks for the info Lee.

Best regards,

Danny

16 Geoff Robertson January 28, 2009 at 1:10 pm

Lee,

I was about to make you an offer to do your dishes, cooking and washing for 12 months. But then I kept watching the video and heard you recommend not enslaving oneself to a potential JV partner!

Great content, as always. Your continued success comes from your generosity. Well done.

Geoff

17 Gary David January 29, 2009 at 9:13 am

Hi Lee,

I agree with you Lee, we have to create quality products and offers to our prospective partners in order to get maximum results. Keep up the good work and hope to see more quality freebies from you soon.

Gary David

19 Robb Auspitz February 7, 2009 at 3:09 am

Hi Lee,

Your approach makes a tremendous amount of sense. In fact, this video just caused me to modify my game plan for a product that my partner and I are about to push into a totally new market. Many thanks for taking the time to do this vid. It is a game changer.

20 Dr. Michael Beck | Chiropractic Marketing February 12, 2009 at 10:01 pm

Great video. I totally agree with the fact you need to make it valuable to the JV partner. On a funny note, I had a JV try to tell me I was paying way too much for this industry. He wanted me to lower the JV payout!

21 Nathan Hockley February 15, 2009 at 5:44 am

Hey Lee,

Great video! Totally correct with the power that some product creators think they have! Especially when talking about those new to the industry.

I will definately bookmarking that video!

Great to see you’re a red devils fan! Also have you ever seen a movie called ‘There’s only one Jimmy Grimbel’?

Great British film!

Nathan

23 Keenan February 21, 2009 at 7:08 am

I’m only just getting started with Internet marketing and your JV ideas are fantastic. I hope to learn more from you in the future.

24 Kelvin February 28, 2009 at 9:39 pm

WOW Lee.

Fantastic information and just at the right time. I am just about to launch my first information ebook and will be looking for JV partners for it so this information from the video came at just the right time. I feel all psyched up about it now and will be starting my homework on it right now.

Thanks Lee!

25 Ken S March 28, 2009 at 12:37 am

Great Idea! Thanks for thinking outside the box!

26 Entrich April 13, 2009 at 4:21 am

Thank you Thank you!

27 Cecilia April 15, 2009 at 3:42 am

Beatiful idea… can you please help me with a list of joint venture list, i looked in google i can not find.

28 Sandy April 26, 2009 at 10:12 pm

Great information and food for thought but I am having great difficulty finding any potential JV partners in my niche to approach. It seems easier to do this in the Internet Marketing niche.

29 Barry Wilkinson May 3, 2009 at 12:53 am

I am in the same boat as Sandy. So, it’s off to article marketing and SEO for me.

Moral – next time check this out before you start.

30 Michael May 6, 2009 at 4:48 pm

Hi Lee,

by the way, your a savvy marketer..well done

31 Lois Lawrie May 6, 2009 at 8:46 pm

Lee:
I was really blown away by the sincerity of your video. Being able to give more than requesting is part of my life because I am a blind person, who on the surface of it does not have anything to offer and is only needy to most people’s perception. I am still trying to work out how to create a website on my own, that works visually.

The reason why I am trying to do this is that the majority of websites are not fully accessible to blind people who use screen reading programs, yours included. I have not asked someone to check yet but it is unlikely that you have put closed captioning on your excellent video for the benefit of people who do not hear or have difficulty taking in spoken information. A transcript would also work, which I could do for you.

The other option is that I could review your website and blog for accessibility. With the increasing number of people who have been using the computer for many years and are now aging the need for full accessibility for everybody makes business sense for a lot of Internet marketers.

Looking forward to continuing this discussion,

Lois from Victoria, Canada

32 RJ Peters May 7, 2009 at 3:55 am

I’ve had to pretty much settle for link exchanges with others in my niche (pets). We do triangular link trades, which helps a little, but it’s not a major way to make anything, or hasn’t been my experience. A big JV I did last year produced a wonderful product, but it’s not selling. I interviewed a number of well known pet authorities, but their fame has not brought me any traffic… only them… which they get anyway.

33 al-sabaliny May 9, 2009 at 8:11 pm

Nice…, especially for me. I am looking to find ways to JV correctly.

34 W. Cole May 9, 2009 at 9:48 pm

Hi Lee,
Thank you for the great information I am not ready to use it but will at some time.

So many people only think about their own needs. To get something from others we need to ask ourselves “what do they need”. This is the way to do it in every area of our relationships and in all marketing.

35 Bill May 12, 2009 at 4:48 pm

Hi Lee,

Very informative video for those of us new to trying to make a living on-line, and I’m sure it is the way to go if you have a product to promote and no list, but with reference to Jane’s comment of January 27th, I am also wondering what newbies like us could have to offer experienced marketers in a particular niche, who already have large lists and incomes.

Not many new to the on-line business have the technical expertise, or experience of writing compelling articles or sales copy to trade, if we did we probably wouldn’t need a jv !

We may also not all be interested in, or able even to coach within the internet marketing or any niche, which many successful entrepreneurs such as yourself are and who also appear to be the main source of potential jv partners with large lists. I for example could have products or services which many on your list would be interested in, but I would have nothing other than a financial inducement to offer you.

I just wonder what, other than a financial incentive, could possibly induce a prospective jv partner to promote an information product from an unknown newbie with little or no technical skills to trade ? Perhaps some sort of on-going financial arrangement, if repeat sales could be obtained ?

I would welcome your thoughts, as there must be many newbies with a product or products to sell which would be of value to many on lists such as yours, but with nothing else to offer other than financial remuneration, what can we do within the frame work your excellent video outlined ?

36 Joey Logano Fan May 13, 2009 at 5:28 am

I had never heard someone using the word jv scalpel, I liked the way you started off the video by telling us that you won’t be pitching us for a sale, that certainly made it easier for me to watch the video, with out “skepticism”. Like some of the others have said, great video :)

37 Simeon May 16, 2009 at 4:55 pm

WOOO, I can wait to get in this is the first time i’ve see this video and o know i will be one who take the action,

38 A.J. June 5, 2009 at 2:21 am

It’s a great marketing idea / technique. I am a newbie!!!! don’t have any idea how to start, do you have a step by step coaching video that you sell to public?.
Thanks and success for you. God bless.

A.J.

41 Beth Daly June 23, 2009 at 8:10 pm

Hi Lee,
This was a very informative video and I enjoyed it. My problem at the moment (and hopefully, it is only momentary) is that I am still too new to this internet marketing space and can’t grasp how I can use this technique — but hopefully that won’t be for long.
Thanks for the information!!

Cheers,
Beth

42 Joni July 10, 2009 at 11:42 pm

As a newbie this was great info for me,implementing it is another story.

When you were a newbie yourself Lee, where and how do you get great stuff when you don’t know how to aquire info that a JV doesn’t already have?
Where does one start to offer something significant when they haven’t got a clue how to research, gather that info and then present it.

Great Ideas, but do you train on the how to find new valuable info training? How about some videos on getting the valuable ideas and putting together an offer

I can’t wait to get past this newbie stage, I think if someone were to train the beginning details they would be a great success-But you need experience to do it!
Still searchin
Sincerely,
Joni

43 Carol Beevers July 11, 2009 at 4:55 pm

Hi there,Lee,
Your information is very illuminating, but like the lady above, I’m just getting started. However, this is probably the best time to absorb information like yours to bring in to play further on in the learning curve.
Thanks for your video and best wishes,
from Carol

44 Chris Stigson July 26, 2009 at 11:57 pm

Hey Lee!

Awesome video man! When I did this for a friend’s company… We managed to almost hit a 99% close ratio, except some VERY BIG names, such as Partner With Paul, who never responded to anything (like 25 different personalized versions :P )…

Other than that I got some BIG fish… This works!

This will help a lot of people, and motivated me more to get my latest product out!

If you want to do anything, sometime, let me know… I’d love to sell more of your stuff :)

- Chris

Lee,

This is fantastic content and very enlightening. I’m a newbie who’s not really a newbie, having made my first money online in the early 1990’s using AOL and Compuserve.

Right now, I’m getting geared up in earnest to have another go at IM. Having waded through a lot of useless and rehashed content, I almost didn’t act on the email mentioning your video. I’m glad I did.

You’ll be hearing about me in IM circles, believe me.

Cheers!
Ken

46 Malcolm Hill July 31, 2009 at 10:20 pm

Hi Lee,another great piece of top qaulity Info again, and it’s free, you are the only person I have found in this game who gives his customers so much for free and I have bought Info with much less Info from other marketeers, every time I receive a email from you It is great stuff. Keep up the good work Lee

47 Anne August 3, 2009 at 5:23 pm

Hi Lee

I found the information very interesting but as I do not have a product of my own at this stage, it is something I will have to consider for the future.

Kind regards
Anne

Thanks for posting this 25 minute video. It’s quite an incentive to take action, regardless of past I.M. failures.

this was really interesting,mindblowing almost
thanks

50 Ken Biddle August 19, 2009 at 2:39 am

Hi Lee,
Great content as always. So many people just starting out find out what to do but not the optimum approach. I’m sure that there are hundreds of people out there that have had the no reply response when seeking JV partners. Now they know why and what to do about it.

Regards
Ken
