As regular readers of this blog will know, I’ve now been working full time on my business for several months. I’m loving each and every second, and it really is my dream come true.
I’ve had a bit of a shocker this week, and almost everything that could have gone wrong has gone wrong. But a bad day as a marketer working from home, is better than a lot of the great days that I had in some of my previous jobs!
Right now I’m writing this while eating a crisp sandwich and watching Neighbours on the TV. Now, I know watching Neighbours is a bit of a sad way for a 27 year old to spend his time, but there’s only so much rolling sports news one man can take!
On Wednesday I went to watch Manchester United play at Old Trafford, and it’s days like that when I realise just how lucky I am to be doing what I do. I was meeting a friend in a pub in Altrincham before catching the tram to the game, and by the time he got there he was pulling his hair out from an hour in horrendous trafic.
I actually felt a bit guilty strolling in looking so relaxed I could be asleep, and as scruffy as only a man who works from home can be!
Yes, this business is hard work, and it can be stressful at times, but being your own boss really is an incredible experience, which is why I like to try and share my knowledge so that others can achieve their goals too. If this is what you dream to do then keep pushing and never give up. It really is worth the effort and the sacrafice.
Right now I best hit publish as Neighbours is coming to an end, and I’d hate to miss the cliffhanger….

I love working at home too, quit my job in May.
What’s a crisp sandwich?
Angela….
I’m sorry, I think what we call crisps in the UK, they’re called chips in North America.
I might be wrong though…can anyone help me out?
Please tell me you’ve enjoyed the pleasure of a crisp/chip sandwich though!
If not, I strongly urge you to add it to your menu for lunch tomorrow!
Does anyone else eat crisp sandwich or am I the only one??
Lee McIntyre
I eat them Lee! Well, usually it’s 2 rolls and a packed of crisps…
It makes an ideal snack…or if you don’t want much lunch.
[Which is really a snack!]
Thanks
Mark
When I was little, I would pile chips onto my Sloppy Joe sandwich and then mash them down. Doing that with just 2 slices of bread and some mayo does not appeal. But then I’ve seen people dip their french fries in mayo. It makes the world go ’round. LOL
Hi Lee,that takes me back to the good old days (when Bobby Charlton was the best footballer in the world!)my siblings and I used to have crisp sandwiches every Tuesday and Thursday for tea!The sad thing is,we actually looked forward to them! They only sold plain crisps in those days,Smiths crisps with the little blue salt bag and then we used to put on vinegar!Happy days!
I’m going to make myself one now.
Colin
I think you’re talking about potato chips, Lee…but how do you make a sandwich with them? In America they come plain (salted) flavored with everything from barbecue to avocado.
I’ve never heard of a crisp sandwich, or a potato chip sandwich either.
One of my favorite things to do with potato chips is get some plain salted ones and dip them in a vanilla milkshake….Yumm! Try it, you’ll like it.
So Lee…send me the recipe for a crisp sandwich…Pat
Cripes!
Who would have thought the hottest post on my blog would be about lunch time snacks?
I’m going to have to rethink the topic of my next book!
Colin – I remember the crisps your speak of as a child. I used to get so excited salting my own crisps LOL
Pat – you dip chips into a milkshake?! Man alive! I think I’d faint if I saw someone do that in McDonalds.
What a waste of a very good chip!
I’ll have to give it a go I guess…I’ll do it in private though as I’d get a few funny looks if I did that in public!

Yep a nice staple!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent!!!!!!!! Thought I was just weird!!!!!!!
Hey Colin, you are really giving your age away now
But yes, I too remember when when Smiths Crisps with the little blue bag were the only option. Then along came cheese ‘n’ onion and salt ‘n’ vinegar. Wow!
I love a crisp sandwich – except they’re known as crisp butties where I come from
