Hey Colin, you are really giving your age away now :-) But yes, I too remember when when Smiths Crisps with the little blue bag were the only option. Then along came cheese 'n' onion and salt 'n' vinegar. Wow!

I love a crisp sandwich - except they're known as crisp butties where I come from :-)

Cripes!

Who would have thought the hottest post on my blog would be about lunch time snacks?

I'm going to have to rethink the topic of my next book!

Colin - I remember the crisps your speak of as a child. I used to get so excited salting my own crisps LOL

Pat - you dip chips into a milkshake?! Man alive! I think I'd faint if I saw someone do that in McDonalds.

What a waste of a very good chip!

I'll have to give it a go I guess...I'll do it in private though as I'd get a few funny looks if I did that in public!

I think you're talking about potato chips, Lee...but how do you make a sandwich with them? In America they come plain (salted) flavored with everything from barbecue to avocado.

I've never heard of a crisp sandwich, or a potato chip sandwich either.

One of my favorite things to do with potato chips is get some plain salted ones and dip them in a vanilla milkshake....Yumm! Try it, you'll like it.

So Lee...send me the recipe for a crisp sandwich...Pat

Hi Lee,that takes me back to the good old days (when Bobby Charlton was the best footballer in the world!)my siblings and I used to have crisp sandwiches every Tuesday and Thursday for tea!The sad thing is,we actually looked forward to them! They only sold plain crisps in those days,Smiths crisps with the little blue salt bag and then we used to put on vinegar!Happy days!
I'm going to make myself one now.

When I was little, I would pile chips onto my Sloppy Joe sandwich and then mash them down. Doing that with just 2 slices of bread and some mayo does not appeal. But then I've seen people dip their french fries in mayo. It makes the world go 'round. LOL

I eat them Lee! Well, usually it's 2 rolls and a packed of crisps...

It makes an ideal snack...or if you don't want much lunch. ;) [Which is really a snack!]

Thanks

Angela....

I'm sorry, I think what we call crisps in the UK, they're called chips in North America.

I might be wrong though...can anyone help me out?

Please tell me you've enjoyed the pleasure of a crisp/chip sandwich though!

If not, I strongly urge you to add it to your menu for lunch tomorrow!

Does anyone else eat crisp sandwich or am I the only one??
