If you’ve been reading this blog for a while you’ll probably be aware that for a long time I’ve been planning to setup a new office.

Well I’m pleased to report that I’ve finally taken the plunge and I’ve just moved in!

I’ve taken a few quick snaps so you can see the brand new Lee-McIntyre.com towers.  Be aware though that I’ve only just moved in so the place is a bit of a mess!

Here you can see the work station where I plan to do the majority of my work. I’m also buying a second monitor today and I’m excited to see if this allows me to work any faster.

This is the view of the whole office from the door. The table at the front is going to be occupied my new affiliate manager, just as soon as I hire them!

This is the view of the office from my chair. Note the big bundle of wires on the desk already…does anyone else find it impossible to stop wires from getting all tangled up?!

Here you can see my new wireless scanner and printer. If anyone can figure out how to work the thing please let me know!

The view from my window :)

The door to the left is the entrance to my office…

And that’s pretty much it!

I’m pretty sure that having a quiet and dedicated place to work will lead to a huge jump in productivity, and I can’t wait to get stuck in.

Please let me know what you thought of the tour in the comments below…

    Exciting stuff!

Once you and your staff have settled in I’m sure you’ll experience an increase in productivity. I think the dual monitor setup will help too.

One question… Is that your own dedicated parking space? :)

Great pics Lee, thanks for sharing.

    Hi John

    Thanks for the comment!

I do have a dedicated parking space but sadly the one outside the window belongs to someone else and mine is round the corner.

My spot is bay 26 and if anyone parks in it other than me I’ll have to let down their tires :)

    Looking nice! :D

I must say that it should help you to be a lot more productive, cause at the end of the day, when you actually go home now…then you really can just relax and open a couple of beers.

Having an office too, makes you look a lot more professional as well I think! - Plus it allows you to invite people and have a chat.

So when’s the ‘WELCOME TO YOUR NEW OFFICE’ party?! And have you sent out the invitations or not? ;):P

Instead of letting down someones tires, why not charge them a fee along with letting the tires down. LOL (Think of it as a charge to letting the tires down!)

    Thanks
    Mark

I have dual 24″ monitors and I can’t tell you how much better I work with them. It’s crazy how much more you can do, and faster, in a given day with that much screen real estate.

    Looks fantastic Lee!
You need a dartboard or pool table in the corner for when you take your breaks, so you can stretch your legs to keep the circulation going!

Hi Lee, Congratulations on the new office. One thing I’m curious about though is the hiring of staff. It seems like a scary step to take! At one time in my life I went to some MLM presentations. I wasn’t much good at MLM but at those meetings there were people who had or used to have their own businesses. To a man they used to complain that once you have employees you soon begin to wonder who is working for who! Apparently there’s a lot of government red-tape, holiday entitlements, insurances, NI contributions to pay and so on. Obviously, if you have too much work do deal with yourself then you need to get some help but it does seem an enormous step to take. You must be a very confident person (you seem to be to me)and I do love your open attitude. I just wondered how you feel about it and if you’ve had advice from people who are employers already. Kind regards, Frank

    Hi Lee,
It looks like I may have misunderstood you when you were talking about hiring people.
You mean you’re hiring professionals round the world whereas I thought you were going to hire office staff! Lol! It does say under one of the pics that you are getting an affiliate manager though. Kind regards, Frank

    Well done Lee,
The office looks great, Nice and new it’s certainly a massive upgrade since your last desktop office pics using the old spare room. It’ll be interesting to see how the office looks a year from now when you’ve worn it in, or maybe you’ll be upgrading again.

    Hi Lee,

Tangled wires!! Easy solution. It’s called a “Cable bone”. Do a search for that term.

A short rubber stick that looks like a bone around which you wind up the excess wire. Works a treat behind HiFis and TVs and stuff like that too!

Not recommended for audio cable though as it creates an inductive loop (ie. possible hum sound on audio). Apologies for geekiness…

    Sam
