I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far. I certainly am, although it’s been busy to say the least!
I’ve been working really hard recently and so tried to take yesterday off work. In the morning I headed into Manchester for a look around the shops with my girlfriend, before then heading for lunch with some friends.
We were in a lazy mood so we went to Witherspoons and had a ‘Beer and a Burger’ combo meal. One of the things that I find about running my business is that it’s very hard to switch off. So even when sat in a pub with friends there’s still a small part of my brian thinking about my Auto Responder, or my recent mailing.
This is something I need to work on!
After that I headed to visit my nan in hospital who sadly has a broken hip. She is being released on Monday, and I’m delighted about this as this has been a huge weight on my mind.
I got back home at around 16:00 and discovered a huge pile of emails needing my attention. It really is incredible how many emails I get each day!
On the Friday I secured a massive discount for Tiffany Dow’s excellent ‘Guide2eBook’ book, and I’d offered a bonus to people who bought via my discount link.
I like to send these out really quickly, and of course I had a HUGE pile of people asking for the bonus. By yesterday at 5pm (24 hours after the email) I had 32 people asking for the bonus freebie, so it took some time to dispatch them all.
I then noticed that there was a broken link on my PeelAwayAdverts site, so two people had ordered and not received their product. I rushed to send this out, and of course sent a bonus for their inconvenience too.
It then took a good twenty minutes trying to discover what the problem was. I found it in the end, but it’s amazing how much time these small problems can gobble up.
I was then getting ready to put my feet up, and enjoy my tea and the build up to the Rugby, when I noticed a flood of orders for Auction Secret Profits. I’m a nosey parker so I dived into Clickbank to see who the affiliate was.
It turned out that someone had just decided to sent a mailing to their list on the spur of the moment, resulting in a flood of sales. I love it when that happens!
When Auction Profits Unleashed first went live on Clickbank I got 28 unexpected sales as the exact same thing happened. Joint Ventures are great, but I love the buzz you get from these unexpected little promos!
Do you see how easily I get distracted by things?
When I’m working during the day I have to force myself to focus or nothing gets done. And if I just think I’ll check my emails for a second, then it’s usually not long until I get sucked into dealing with 101 different items.
I then watched the rubgy, ate my tea, and then couldn’t resist checking my emails again before bed. And posting on the Warrior Forum. And posting on the Standing Start Profits forum. And checking my emails again.
I think you see my point!
Anyway, that was my relaxing day off. Now I have a full week of work ahead and I’m excited about what I have planned. Fingers crossed you’ll be just as excited too when you see what I have in the pipes!
