My Biggest Secrets Revealed and $172.67 Prize!
January 2nd, 2008If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. You can also sign up for my extremely popular FREE newsletter by clicking HERE. Thanks for visiting!
This year I’ve made the transformation from extremely busy high school teacher to full time marketer, and my business has grown in ways that I could never have imagined.
Regular readers of my newsletter will know though that I don’t measure my success by how much money I’ve earned, and instead I like to evaluate my performance by the number of people I’ve helped achieve their online goals.
You see, becoming a full time internet marketer was simply incredible, but helping others achieve their marketing dreams is what really makes me tick.
You can take the teacher out of the classroom but you can’t take the classroom out of the teacher!
I love helping others, and just because I’m no longer a high school teacher doesn’t mean I can’t now spend my time sharing what I know with the people who are desperately trying to establish an online business, just like I was a few short months ago.
When I was a struggling beginner one thing that frustrated me about online marketing was the fact that many of the people who were enjoying the most success stashed their secrets and never actually shared what was working for them on the ground.
Well, that’s certainly not how I want to do things, and it’s my sincere intention to try and share as much as I possibly can with my readers so that I can try and help people quit their day jobs in 2008, just like I did in 2007.
Which is why I’ve decided to break the rules a bit by giving you the opportunity to ask me almost ANYTHING about my online business, so that you can learn from my success and apply it to your own internet ventures.
What to know the single biggest reason why I went from zero to $20,000 a month in just 161 days? No problem and just ask!
Want to know how I managed to secure powerful and profitable JVs with the leading names in the industry, even as a complete beginner, and how you could do the same? No problem and just ask!
Want to know how I’ve built a wildly responsive mailing list that allows me to send out emails that earn me $1,000++ a pop, eight times a month? Great question so get asking!
I’ve achieved a lot over the last few months, and I want to share that with as many people as possible so feel free to ask me anything, and I’ll do my best to give you a cracking answer that reveals all.
Here’s what you need to do….
Think of a question that you’d like to ask me and then post it in the comments below. And if you can’t narrow it down to one question? Not a problem, and feel free to post as many as you want!
I’ll let this run for a few days and then an independent judge will select the best 10 questions and I’ll answer them all in glorious detail.
My answers will be compiled in a FREE book which I’ll send to my subscribers early next week and it won’t cost you even one cent!
This is going to be a FANTASTIC free book, and if you ask the right questions below then you’re going to get an absolute killer freebie that will reveal my deepest marketing secrets, and which will show you how you can duplicate my success.
And here’s where it gets really interesting….
This will be YOUR book and you get to control the questions that are asked on the inside, but I really don’t want to stop there.
You see, I appreciate you taking the time to post your questions below, which is why the best question will also win a massive cash prize too!

Above you can see a money jar that I’ve been filling up during 2007, and the person with the best question gets the lot.
Now, I’m guestimating there will be $172.67 in this jar, which is not a bad prize for asking a quick question on a blog!
Once the winner has been picked I’ll count up the money, and then I’ll send you the balance via Paypal since I figure that the costs of sending the jar would probably exceed the value of the money on the inside.
And of course, if the contents is less than $172.67 then I’ll just make up the balance myself, and if it’s more then you get to have an even better New Year!
I’m not going to bore you with a massive list of judging criteria though, and all I’ll say is that the question which is likely to provoke the most insightful, valuable, and revealing answer, will win the cash prize.
And that’s pretty much it!
I’ve enjoyed some huge success this year, and now I want to continue by sharing all that I know with others. This is a fantastic opportunity to pick my brain and ask all those questions which have been knawing away at you for months.
And don’t forget that you can post UNLIMITED questions too, and the more questions you ask the better your chance of success.
I want to make the free ebook that follows an incredibly valuable resource for all my subscribers, so please take the time to post a question now.
And who knows….your question might get featured in my next free viral ebook AND you might win a big jar of money too!
Post your questions below now and I can’t wait to read what you come up with…

It seems that membership sites have been growing steadily in 2007. My question is what software would you recommend for setting up a membership site i.e. easy to implement, clear instructions, time bound etc?

Lee,
It seems to me that the most profitable way forward is to produce one’s own info products.
Coming up with info product ideas is not a problem. However, I have been try to source a reliable Ebook compiler that will use Word but retain the links. it should also give good security to prevent theft of the digital products produced.
Any suggestions?
best wishes,
Graham.

What was the first thing that you tried to make money with and how did you do with it?
How do you determine what your next project will be ?
What is your favorite niche and why ?
How much time per week did you spend builing your business compared to how much time you spend on it now ?
Do you build your own websites if not who does your web design? What does an average webpage cost to produce ?
What was the biggest obstacle you had to overcome in the beginning ?
What do you find most challenging in your everday operations now ?
How many hours per day do you spend worknig your business ?
Does your wife contribute anything to the business ?
What is your long term goal for your business ?
Do you personally answer emails from customers or do you now have a staff for that ?
What was your first product launch like ? How much time do you spend getting it ready / How much money did you expect to make compared to what the actual results were ? What were the results ? How many JV partners were involved ?
Thanks Lee for the help you have given me to this point, I look forward to each of your newsletters
Take care Jik Garvin

Great idea!
Okay - here’s my question(s):
Having researched your niche and developed a product, how do you a) get sales copy that converts and b) drive the traffic to that copy without spending a fortune?
I guess what I’m really after here is the honest truthful lowdown on how much “trial and error” there is in the process before you start seeing cash roll in!
Many thanks for thinking of this.
All good things

Lee, Marketers selling ‘How to do’ books on making a living on the internet assume a certain amount of knowledge from the reader. So normally after the 1st paragraph quoting fabulous earnings, then how they were broke, unemployed, ignorant, hadn’t seen a computer until 6 months ago. Launch out immediatly and go into computer speak showing a level of knowledge that couldn’t be learned in 6 months and promptly lose the “Newbie”. So my question is, what steps would you advise a newcomer to master before becoming more ambitious. A lot of us are floundering in the dark, and some don’t like to admit it.

Now nearly out of money & a paycheck away from losing my house I What I need to know is:
Is there any step by step method that a person can put together to make a decent on-line income;starting at step 1(one)& folowing a series of steps that you don’t need to be a computer programer to figure out that take you to succesfully having the multipul streams of income everybody claims to show you?

You have already demonstrated your ability to write. In fact, you have mentioned several times that you love to write. What is your least favorite and how did you conquer that hurdle?
How versed were you in the technical details of IM? Did you start at ground zero and what resources did you use to move forward in this area?
You are obviously a giver as shown by your method of operation. You were obviously a giver as a classroom teacher in a “difficult” school. Are there other venues in your life that showed and developed this side of your personality. I believe that being a care giver is a God-given talent. It is up to the individual to use that talent and develop it.
Thank you for this opportunity. Good luck to everyone in 2008.

G’day Lee,
My question is in relation to your recent youtube video about Dan Thompson’s new software called, “Boomerang List Builder”. I could tell you were VERY EXCITED about this new innovative software and I thought you may have some good tips for the use of this product.
I think it will be great for ebooks in pdf format but I am thinking it may make mp3 audio files/products and mpeg movie files/products more useful as a saleable product as we can now at least gain an email contact for List building purposes from these files using Boomerang List Builder.
I personally find both video and audio products HEAPS MORE ENJOYABLE than PDF e-book products and I generally gain more info from them as a result.
I often hear/read that, “The Money Is in The List”
What have you got up your sleeves in regard to the possible usage and strategy using this exciting new product?
Cheers,

Hey Lee, I have a ton of questions that I would like to ask you about your success and online business.
1) What resources/products have you bought in the past year that have helped you expand your online business. Have any read any books that added to your knowledge of marketing or product creation.
2) How do you write your eBooks so fast? Do you have a certain mindset, listed to music (iMusic), etc.? Also where do you find ideas for your eBooks, blog and forum posts? Do you use any tools or resources to help your productivity?
3) When making your videos, how do you know what to say? Are you reading off of a script, notes/bullet points, or etc? How do you speak with such confidence and with little errors? Do you do practice run?
4) What strategies have brought you the most visitors? Which have brought you the most paying customers? (Making resell/giveaway products, helpful blog/forum posts, joint venture partners, making videos, etc.?
5) How do you manage your time with all of your online activities (forum/blog posting, video creation, product creation, research/learning, customer support, technical problems, personal life, etc.)? Do you outsource anything, if so, what do you outsource and how do you do it. Also, how much time do you spend on your computer or spend doing things for your online ventures every day? Do you have any tips to increase productivity? Typing a lot can be a huge drag, is there anything you do to keep yourself going and cure boredom or fatigue?
6) Do you have a mentor? If so, how did you find this mentor and what have you learned from them? What is the importance of having a mentor?
7) Have you made any costly mistakes or errors in your marketing journey? If so, what were they and did you overcome them? If you overcame them, how? Is there anything that you wish you could go back in time and change?
9) Do you set goals for the things that you do online? If so, what is the importance of setting goals? What are that goals that you have achieved on and off line in your life? Have any of these attributed to your success?
10) Last question ? for you! If someone has little to no marketing experience and wants to create a name for the selves online, earn a nice income, and eventually quit their day job, what are the first steps he or she should take? What did you do or experience when you were first starting out that made you want to create more products and help more people?
Thanks for giving me this opportunity Lee. My name is Eric and I am only a 17 year old high school senior in the USA. I believe that internet marketing is a great way for me to learn about business/marketing and hopefully make me money to pay for my college tuition.
I do not come from a highly educated or rich family and I feel blessed with the opportunities that I have. Thanks again and I wish you the best of luck in your online business.

Hi Lee,
Having recently stepped into the larger world of internet marketing (who know such a vast world existed?!) and discovering that there are Inner Circle groups, MasterMind groups, Warriors, membership groups and coaches galore, not to mention an extremely vast amount of information and how-to ebooks, courses and products out there, a person new to internet marketing can’t help but feel a little overwhelmed (did I say little?). You seem to have had a bit of the same experience, as you stated in your blog post back in June 2007 -
http://www.lee-mcintyre.com/blog/so-what-are-the-secrets-to-making-money-online - that you were “knee deep reading ebook after ebook” and “caught up in a whirlwind of hype and internet marketing secrets.” I’ve found myself there and hear from others caught up in this same info whirlwind, searching for the perfect step-by-step to internet marketing riches answer. When this happened to you, you were able to see what was happening to you but you were also able to fall back on your already proven and successful business with Ebay selling. For those of us who do not have that, and who are truly lost in the web of product ideas and creation, we are still swimming in the world of offers and product launches, looking for a firm guiding principle, a truthful how-to plan to help us in our new steps toward our own e-business. What wisdom do you have to share with us to help us break loose of this seemingly never-ending search for our own successful IM career?

Hey Lee;-)
Firstly, Happy New Year, and I hope your Christmas was a good one;-)
Questions, I would have bucket loads, but here are a couple I would love answered..
1) My top question, is how do you get people to pick up backend sales? I am struggling with this, and it is something I need to master, how long did it take you to sort it?
2) I have a couple of ebooks I have put together, but I cant for the life of me do designs or sales pages, I also cant afford to pay the prices asked for to get these done, not when ebay fees are so high, so what do you suggest to help the less affluent people?
Take Care my friend, your an angel;-)

Lee. What a fantastic idea!! I’m just hoping that you do come through and give up some of the secrets to this business. I, like the other 13 before me, have tons of questions on ‘how’ to do this business in a way that will generate an income that will at least allow us the luxury of knowing that it can be done, and if we desire, build on that to whatever point we want to.
Gary and James had most of the questions that I had thought of already and I will build on those:
Expanding on the best 5 sources of traffic: once you have that traffic, how do you go about getting optins to your list and turning them into customers?
Do you use a ghost writer for any part of your business?
How much of your work (website(s), graphics, etc.) do you outsource?
I, like the others here, will be (im)patiently waiting for the answers to our questions.
Thanks much for doing this for us.

Many so called successful internet marketers or gurus or experts NEVER want to reveal the niches they are in. For example, if you see the video tutorials they made, they always blocked some parts that they don’t want others to see. Of course the reason they don’t want to reveal their niches is because they are worried about increasing competitions. But, if they are the experts, WHY are they afraid of competitions or people stealing their markets? I mean if I know your niches, so what? It doesn’t mean that I will know all your secrets. For example, knowing Mc Donalds selling hamburgers doesn’t mean that you know their secrets. Yes, of course you can copy Mc Donalds and sell hamburgers as well… But are Mc Donalds worried about that? I don’t think so! Many so called gurus always say that they’re very keen to help us to succeed but I just don’t understand if they’re so keen to help people to succeed, why they’re afraid to reveal their profitable niches? I would love to hear your comments about this. Thanks!

Hi Lee,
Q. If you had to start with nothing. (No list, web space, etc) You only had your PC and an internet connection what would you do from scratch to start building your new empire.
Bearing in mind you are working a 40hr week already in the rat race and coming home with only a couple of hours a day to put into your new online business. What would you do??

Hi Lee
my qusetion is nothing to do with Internet marketing as such but with any new venture.
As you have said you were a high school teacher which obviuosly brings in a regular income. So how did you juggle your time when starting out and more importantly how did you keep your family on board when you were spending so much time at the beginning with little to show for your efforts. I have come up against this aspect and have had to give up as my wife (who can blame her) only sees money being spent on E books, courses etc and no money coming back. This is very demotivating and demoralising when you are constantly having to try to justify what you are doing with your time and more importantly with your money. The snipers are always out there willing you to fail and say “I told it woudlnt work!!”
So what is the one thing that kept you going?

All I want to know is how do you evaluate the potential of a project you are working on and decide to FOCUS on completing that 1 project?
I’m presently working on 4 different niche websites which are no way related. I find myself spinning my wheels promoting each one using all the different methods hawked and not being able to concentrate on one website/method and hence diluting my efforts.
I cannot decide on which site to concentrate on since all of them are cash producing niches.

Hi Lee,
It’s not often that I make any posts anywhere but I decided to make an exception this time.
Question:
What is the best way to deal with information overload?
Is it a good idea to delete all info except that which is applicable to the project in hand?
Also, what about unsubscribing from all newsletters etc. as I find that I am soon distracted from my ongoing project and encouraged to try the latest money-making ideas and this results in my making nothing at all with any project.
Seems just like treading water to me.
Best wishes

Lee,
I became unemployed in August 1, 2007. Since then I have made two ebooks and videos on how to use your computer more efficiently.
My sales have been minimal. I tried getting JVs but since I do not have a famous name, I got no interest.
I have read many books. I became an ebay Powerseller in 90 days, but very little profit, I guess because they were physical products.
So, my question is “How does someone promote their products and get considered an expert so that people will buy?”
I have to make a decision to either continue to successfully market on the Internet, or find a real job.
So far, I have not been successful.

Hi Lee,
I have a number of questions which have already been asked, so I will try and focus on the most important questions for me specifically. I’ll also keep it as general as possible so your answers can apply to as many people as possible. If I think of any more I’ll include them later. But first, I’ll give some general background so you know where I’m coming from.
I have a full time job and I’ve been looking, generally, at IM and eBay for some 3 years now and am still not making any serious money. This is my fault, nobody else’s. My hard drive is full of information, courses, notes and other paraphernalia, and there’s enough ‘good’ information there to start successfully. I didn’t know which was good and which was bad at the time though. In other words, information overload.
I have a method of dealing with this that works most of the time, it is to ‘get off my arse’ and do something, which I did. It cost me a lot but I can now successfully sell on eBay. I’ve now stopped this line as I could only make decent money by working full time. As a part time business it took all of my spare time. I’m now looking for ways to drastically improve profit margins on eBay.
In addition to that I have a PLR product which is nearly finished and I will be selling this on eBay and generally over the web by the end of January. This has taken me a very long time to get to this stage as I have been struggling with the practical aspects and fighting software. The next one will be a lot faster.
In ‘getting off my arse’ I determined just to focus on what I was doing and to ignore all the other online distractions. So, all of a sudden, I’m finding information coming to me that seems to be specifically targeted to exactly what I’m doing, either at the moment or which will be very useful in the near future. In other words, information overload. Again.
OK, I can and am dealing with this recurrence, but it’s not the question I am asking.
It seems to me that the basic question I should be asking is to do with ‘mindset’, as I’m certain that I would’ve been a lot further along this path with the right ‘mental attitude’, even without the specific knowledge and experience. I have taken an expensive course on this, which just doesn’t work for me. The course went a bit further than ‘mindset’ though. It went on into ‘The Secret’, which I’m sure you know about. In my view The Secret doesn’t work and can actually be dangerous, but it includes a lot of what I’m defining as ‘Mindset’.
I’ve discussed these problems of mine with a friend who’s a teacher, so I’m sure you’ll know better than me what she’s talking about. It appears that I’m a kinaesthetic learner, which is, apparently, very common, especially with males. This is how I understand it but please correct me if I’m wrong.
So, my question is (at last) ‘how can kinaesthetic learners achieve the specific mindset required in the shortest possible time in order to make money (that is money equivalent to present salary) on a part time basis online?
There is an obvious additional question also. Which are the best courses, or types of courses, for kinaesthetic learners to take in order to learn the required information as quickly as possible?
I’m certain I won’t be the only person who’ll be very interested in your reply if a reply is possible that is.
Thanks
Barry

If a band of robbers invaded your home and held your loved ones hostage unless you made $1000 USD within the next 14 days online, what would you do? They won’t let you use your established lists or any of your existing products. They will give you $150 for funding. What do you each day to make the money and rescue your family?

Hi Lee,
Thanks for the opportunity to pick your brain! My question is a variation on a few that have already been asked, but I’m curious about your very first product. I know you’ve talked about starting in the classroom management niche, was that your first niche? Was your first product something you created, or something you had resell rights to, plr, etc.? Did you sell that product exclusively on ebay or did you have other outlets? Thanks!

Hi Lee,
What a fantastic contest and I’m looking forward to this e-book!
My questions:
What is a typical day of a full-time successful Internet marketer like yourself? Do you carve out x hours to writing, x hours to research, x hours to post in forums, etc. Even though things come up, do you keep that a tight schedule?
How do you keep yourself on schedule without distractions? (i.e. spending all day on a forum ). Any tools you use to keep you on schedule? (i.e. to-do lists, software, etc.)
Thanks Lee!

Thanks for offering to answer our questions. I often hear that if you don’t have your own product yet, a quick way to create an ebook is to interview experts in you area of interest. Then use the information to compile an ebook, video, audio, or any combination of these. My question, why would you or any other “expert” give such an interview? What’s in it for you? Why would anyone want to share the info with a “no-name” like me? What incentive should I offer the expert?
Same question goes for joint ventures. What would I have to offer someone like yourself to share my product with your list?
Thanks, Tim

Hi Lee,
Thanks for this great contest. Here’s my question:
How do I create a stream of income that is relatively hands-free and automatic? I’d rather not have to constantly “prime the pump” to keep it going.
By Joe Watson on Jan 2, 2008 | Reply
Lee
You have made remarkable progress in a very short time and your results have been nothing short of astounding, particularly as you had no knowledge of Internet Marketing when you started.
Looking back, what do you think are the most important things that you did to progress to where you are today Is there just one - or are there many. What’s the order of importance. Are these the things you will keep repeating in the future. Are they things, without which, you consider you would not have had the success you have achieved up to the present time and will continue to do in the future. In other words, are they imperative? Would you fail without them?
Have you developed a step by step formula for your business which you can ‘rinse and repeat’?
Whilst you will undoubtedly have different product strategies for the future, have you developed and adopted a set of rules/standards which will always be a part of every future project?
Hope your answers will be in your forthcoming book.
Sincerely
Joe

Hello Lee,
Firstly i aggree with Terry on his comments about starting with nothing and being snowballed with information on this and that.
My question: O.K here goes,
Do you think it is possible to start any online business with absolutely NO Bank account NO credit cards NO i mean ABSOLUTELY NO spare cash and very little to none internet business experience as myself and many others reading this can probably aggree.
If you think i and others like me can achieve all this you will have an even bigger LIST than you first thought possible.
Thanks Rob.

Hello Lee Happy New Year, good response to your question (No Suprise there then)
My Question Lee is: What makes a successful marketer?

By Cheryl on Jan 2, 2008 | Reply
I am going to basically repeat Ross’ question from above:
If you had to start with nothing (No list) and you only had your PC and an internet connection, what would you do from scratch to start building your new empire.
Time is of the essence - if you had only an average of two hours a day to work (maybe longer on the weekends), which way would you go to begin.
Maybe a more honest question would be: Is there a “living” in niches outside of Internet Marketing/”how to make money online” niche? I’ve been doing this long enough to notice most big guys started out to write/sell an info product on a specialty niche (yours was/is classroom management), make *some* money at it (but obviously not a living as you didn’t quit your teaching job till you made it “big” in the “how to make money online” niche), then turn around and detail how you made $$ in that specialty niche in an ebook(which becomes your “how to make money online” niche) and there you go! Does that make sense?

Hi Lee,
There is so many questions that has been posted and it could take me some time to see which has not been posted yet but here we go:
(in no particular order)
1. How does someone like you who holds a day job which has nothing to do with IM or the computer in anyway get started with an online business?
2. How were you able to spend time with your family and yet still be able to market online?
3. What was your first venture in trying to make your first cent online?
4. You have started with eBay as a seller and then expanded your reputation from there, how will others be able to get started online if they don’t know anything about eBay?
5. How much money did you spend on your first 3-6 months in getting your business set up? Is there a breakdown in details?
6. Did you try other free methods to generate money such as Adsense, paid to survey and things like HYIP or money programs?
7. When you were focusing on your project and had no contacts how were you able to still get to know other marketers and have them promote so willingly for you?
8. Who were your mentors and how did you they help you during your marketing journey?
9. Did you find it necessary to go out and network with other marketers to learn and stay up to date?
10. How much automation software and which services you would say that is essential to your business?
11. Do you believe in paid advertising or free advertising - which do you condone and how did you go about applying those strategies?
12. What is your favourite way of generating traffic online (or offline)?
13. In view of some marketers conducting seminars across the globe, do you see this as a necessary step to “rise to success”? Why?
14. Is it necessary to learn about the basics of copywriting, HTML or article writing or anything technically to succeed online?
15. How do you divide your time between tasks and can you show us your typical work schedule (a snapshot) of during your first 3-6 months?
16. When you started out with no contacts but had a reputation on eBay, how does the newbie with no contacts, no reputation anywhere get to your stage in 161 days too?
17. Do you know more successful marketers who are business opportunity distributors or are product owners? Why?
18. How did you find the courage to carry on during your most dissapointing days when you first started marketing online?
19. Which tasks would you outsource right now if you had to pick the top 5 tasks in your IM activities and business?
20. How did you find your direction in earning money online? was it during a crisis?
21. What is the single most important advice you would give to the struggling / new marketer who wants to quit their job and make real money online?
22. Do you like to wear ‘dressed down T-shirts n shorts’ or formal suits?
23. what is your favourite food?
24. How will you make use of your available free time offline these days?

Hi Lee,
You are truly an inspiration! I have been trying to make a living online for the past three years, but without much success. After discovering you on the Warrior Forum, I have new motivation. I bought your eBook, “Auction Profits Unleashed,” and I must say, it caused me to realize the adjustments I need to make! In fact, over the last 2 weeks, I have put up a new eBook Website and an eBook eBay Store. I have also put together a Free Special Report entitled, “Resell Rights Explained,” where I’ll be promoting your eBook through my affiliate link. Thank you so much for your willingness to share! Here’s a question for you… When you were putting together your online program did you have to make some major adjustments along the way, or were the adjustments reletively minor? For example, did you have a bunch of things rolling only to discover you were barking up the wrong tree… And then had to do all those thing over again? Or, did you just have to make small changes? I look forward to your answer, and your new eBook too! All the best! Dan

1. How can traffic be built without a list, no cost on a fixed income?
2. How is the best way of sorting through all of the bombardments of overwhelming info when trying to learn by signup on marketing.
I have spent almost a year wrinting an ebook, building a simple “Sales” web site and am working on a Blog for my web site.
Now I have to build a list and traffic.

My simple question to you is this,
Do you think that a middle aged, overweight, memory deficient, poor spelling, wanabee marketeer, can be just as successful as a young well educated school teacher, at this marketing game?
After 3 years and about £3000 spent on every great new opportunity arriving in my inbox, Im still no where near being able to give up my day job.
Is this game just for young well educated people? The average age of the guru’s seems to be about 23.

Hi Lee,
Happy New Year!
What a great bunch of questions!
I’d like to read your answers to all of them!
I’m sure that’s going to be nearly impossible, so I’ll just ask my biggest one:
Pretend you were a newbie and you were starting all over again. ok?
You have no list, no JV partners, no product to sell and very little money to spend on this.
Knowing what you know now, what would you do, step-by-step, to start bringing in the money, to stay focused and positive, to never give up your dream of making better than a full-time earning with the help of your computer?
I’d like to hear what you consider the easiest way that you know of to start making money online.
Side questions:
1- Favorite food?
2- favorite movie?
3- favorite TV show?
4- favorite beverage?
5- Do you exercise?
6- favorite sport?
7- Any children?
8- favorite vacation spot?
9- Favorite quick getaway spot?
10- favorite music?
Thanks a lot my friend!
Have a Great ‘08,

Hi Lee, I have been reading your newsletter for a few months now. I have decided you are what you seem and I am very happy about that.
My question is: I am still employed, and time is the issue, not to mention funds.
How do you get started when you have limited time and funds?
It seems everything you need is a monthly fee. Aweber, hosting fees, etc. you get my point. What is essential, and where can you cut corners?
And if you don’t start making money in a hurry, how do you sustain yourself?
I know you used to be a teacher, I can’t imagine you ever had much spare time. So did you have to quit your job first before you tried to make it online? Or did you give it just what time you had in the beginning to see how things would go?
I am starting out with moderate knowledge and skills and learning as I go. I could really use your help. Not to mention $172.67

In spite of your amazing success, with hindsight you would surely have done some things differently. If you knew when you started out what you know now, what would you have done that you didn’t do (or what would you have done earlier than you did) and what did you do that you wish you hadn’t?

Hi Lee,
Some of these are a little mischevious… but did you really expect me to let you off lightly?
You often talk about the shift towards honest marketing. How will this change affect your business, if at all, once other marketers start to catch on?
What other changes do you foresee taking place in marketing over the next year? & where do you see your business in a years time?
How would your approach differ, if at all, if you were to attempt to replicate your success from scratch using a pen name?
Although marketing online is still work, in what ways is it more rewarding than your 9-5 teaching job? What are your favourite benefits of living your new lifestyle?
In the time that you have been marketing what is the one thing you wish you had maybe changed or perhaps implemented sooner?
What is the singlemost important piece of advice you would give someone thinking of embarking on a career in internet marketing?
How would you sum up Lee McIntyre’s approach to marketing in a single sentence?
What do you think contributes most to an individuals failure to make money online?
Since you have many subscribers all with different levels of experience how do you ensure your work covers all bases (Beginner, intermediate, advanced).
If you had a budget of precisely ZERO dollars what would be the first thing you would do to start generating an income using free resources?
How would you break the cycle of someone who’s marketing formula is “See big headline + Hit PayPal button = Swiftly dwindling bank balance.”?
How would you take a prospect who is simply looking for that “magic bullet” & convert them into someone who will take action & make money online?
What makes Lee McIntyre different from all the other marketers out there. Why should we listen to you?
What do you believe is Lee McIntyre’s marketing X Factor?
And finally just for fun… What do you say to the non marketers who assume you spend your days sipping Piña Colada on the white sands of Waikiki intermittently hitting the send button…

Hello Lee,
Well I have a more practical question. What kind of computer are you using? How big the harddrive etc? PRocessing speed? What kind of backup? External hard drives? Filing system for works in process.
Software you are using now, right now for the various income streams: ebooks; video training; viral lists;etc.
I find that I have had to upgrade twice and still do not have enough juice in the puter to run at any kind of speed. I know you recommend some software that you don’t use because you are used to using one and don’t want to fool around with a learning curve…I can understand that. Just mention that.
I will be very interested to hear what kind of back up you use. Do you print out hard copies of your ebooks each and every time you upgrade or change anything?
And do you have any extra staff yet? Outsource anything?
Thanks, without the correct equipment running this business is impossible. So any info is appreciated.

Lee, if I am not capable of cloning every step that you or John Thornhill make in order to duplicate the same success - due to lack of similar skills or temperament, or simply because I don’t want to duplicate your methods exactly; in other words, I do not want develop a list, do not want to feed that one-eyed monster daily tips, and sales pitches, do not want to develop JV’s, do not want to launch a product through the Warrior Forum, or become a PowerSeller on ebay, I do not want to start a membership site (why would anyone join if I am a newbie?) or make how-to videos when I don’t KNOW how-to, and I don’t want to blog, can’t imagine myself authoring a product called The Ultimate Mind Ripping Secret to Making an Online Fortune in just Three Days!, I don’t want my inbox clogged with anything but Paypal Instant Payment Notifications, and think to myself - why is the rage with IM-ing just instant digital delivery products, why isn’t it okay to put my digital products on a DVD or on a CD and MAIL it to my customer? Lee, if I am thinking perhaps there is some OTHER way to make a decent living and escape my wage slavery via digital products am I wrong to believe that YOUR WAY is not the ONLY way to be successful with info products online?

Respected Sir,
My Indian tradition & culture teaches me to address the teacher with respect,as he represents the godesses of knowledge,Saraswati.
AS a matter of fact,GURU,is an INDIAN word.In my culture, student is not supposed to address the teacher with his first-name or sirname,as that means showing an arrogance or disrespect for the teacher.Hence the term GURU is used with lot of respect. In old days before addressing the teacher as GURU,student had to touch his ears with his fingers,as a mark of respect for KNOWLEDGE.This gesture you will find in the concerts of INDIAN classical music singers even today!
I am talented non-native writer. We face great barrier in internet world.Non-native writers are forced to do slave jobs like selling articles of 500 words for 1or2bucks.We have poor resources.I work on dialup internet connection with speed of zero to ten kbps and use second hand assembled computer.Converting Indian rupees in to UD$ and sending your own money to your own paypal accont is nightmariesh job.So people like me are forced to start with zero$ capital. You need at least
a capital of about250$ for getting web hosting etc. Many people can not earn this initial capital after months of slave work and leave
internet world in disgust& frustration.Consider
all Asians,Chinese,ex-Russians,as your students. They are looking towards you with hope and inspiration. They feel you can provide
them economic freedom. What do they want?
A simple step by step system to earn their first 250$ initial capital in one month, working for not more than four hours per day on their bullockcart speed dialup connections& cheap assembled PCs.
In the second step you should teach them to make 300$ STEADY income per month.
In the third step they will have their economic freedom. Now everybody will move in his own field of interest & will require higher level mentoring, which he will be in position to pay for gladly.
As you have started from scratch,we feel, you can understand our plight sensitively.
If you can deliver something like this for all those non-english native net users,it will be great service to humanity as a whole and I am
sure that every INDIAN,will touch his ear with his fingers, will bow in reverence, then address you as GURUJI.
My question is will you become REAL GURU to
all your unfortunate students?

Dear Lee,
Lets cut to the chase here.
When you were selling your ebooks on Ebay you built a list. Were your clients interested in your new ebook about how you made money selling on ebay and what percentage of those people bought your new ebook? In other words was your old list of any use at all when you took the plunge and went into internet marketing? As a corollary to that how did you build your new list?

I’ve heard from alot,if not ALL Internet Marketer’s, to find someone who has done or is currently doing what I want to do, and do the same sorts of things. Basically, to find a coach….
Who is your personal coach/mentor? And how exactly do u go about finding a coach, like, what qualities, characteristics about themselves or their business/es do you look for?
Cheers bro!

Hi Lee,
Good idea. I am a US teacher as well, and understand your heart , in genuinely trying to help people get ahead and be as successful . . .if not more successul, than you.
My question is: How do you determine in which specific direction you will go in your next venture . . . or what specific niche or topic you will pursue next?
Thanks and keep the “over-delivery” coming!

Lee,
I have not taken the time to read all the questions
You have gotten quite the response :)… I know I’m not the only one with information overload!! Too be honest I may have read the answer to the following someplace, but with IO I just can’t remember now… So here goes; Is there an ebook, report, paper etc. that lists 1. Get autoresponder 2. Get a delivery system 3. etc. I make lists or I’m all over the place. Heck maybe I’m giving someone an idea for a Ebook or report.
I know there is room in this for all of us, I’m just having a tough time getting started.
Thanks,
Keith

Hello Lee,
I’m amazed by the response you have had to your competition. I will probably get a few answers to my questions from those already posted and a few more.
My main questions:
1. Having seen the number of questions raised will you answer more than 10 in detail?
2. How much time do you spend answering emails from those on your list?
3. Have you met John Thornhill?
4. Is it necessary to have a lot of technical knowledge to do what you have done?
5. Is eBay an essential part of your success?
6. Is it essential to have a list and why?
7. How frequently should one contact those on the list?
8. Can my ordinary pc from PC World cope if you helped me to be successful too?
9. There seem to be plenty of ebooks on offer but what are your views on ebook readers such as the one launched by Amazon in the US?
10. If there is one piece of advice you could give me to be successful too what would it be?
I have been in direct selling most of my adult life and I once attended a Tack Selling course in London where they said that to be successful in selling you simply had to make it easy for the customer to buy, I think you put that into practice by what you do - please keep doing it!
Looking forward to hearing the result of your competition.
Happy new year Lee,
Stuart

Wonderful idea and you have a lot of worthwhile questions already to answer.
I was touched by AJAY’s questions above - I would respond to them.

Hi Lee, I would like to know if it is possible to earn a good living with one niche/website or do you need to have several? How do you know when you are ready to move on to the next money making project?
How do you find the time to put into your business being a mom of two boys and a new neice I have custody of I hardly can find enough time?
How does one stay focused, Step by Step?
Thanks
Denise

Hi Lee,
This is a wonderful idea! I’ve seen a lot of marketers use surveys to get feedback but this way people get to see the questions that everyone has and know that they aren’t alone in wondering what or how.
My question is…
Would there be any chance of you writing about your own experiences - from the very beginning up until now? I mean, in detail including thought processes and reasons why or why not for everything so that it’s kind of a “you are there” experience for the reader.
The reason I’m asking that is because it would be very difficult for you to give me an answer to my marketing questions that would suit me personally since you don’t know anything about me. But - you know yourself and what you did very well and I always learn so much by reading about or watching other people, what they do (or don’t do) and why.
I don’t know anyone who has had the kind of success you have so having the privilege of reading your story would be like seeing the beautiful bright sunrise after a long night of groping in the pitch black darkness for me.
Thank you Lee!
Lynn

Hi Lee,
I have 3 questions:-
1) For anyone creating their first info product, would you consider it’s primary purpose to be to make money or to build a list to monetize?
2) Although I see the merits in info products because they make money and build a list simultaneously, the actual product only has a limited shelf life before sales start tailing off. Would you therefore recommend membership sites or software products as a better long term business model?
3) What’s the best way to incentivise people to distribute a viral ebook?
Cheers…Graham

Ajay - please do not apologise for your comments. They are from the heart and I completely understand your entire sentiment, and I know exactly where you are coming from.
You make some valid points, and you’ve raised some extremely interesting arguments, and I hope to address these in the coming weeks.
I find myself desperately wanting to reply to each and every post, but it simply isn’t possible or I’ll never get the free ebook done!
I never expected such a powerful response, and I’m so grateful to everyone who has submitted some questions.
Now I just have to pick someone to choose which 10 will make it into the book, and which 1 gets the cash prize.
This is not going to be easy, and I suspect that choosing someone to pick the winner will be hard as well!
Thanks again and keep them coming….
