My Thoughts On The Aweber Upgrade

In case you missed it, Aweber recently announced that they are increasing the prices for all new customers. They’re also dramatically increasing the functionality too with the introduction of some advanced email marketing analytics.
As I currently understand the situation, all current customers will have the option to stay on their existing price plan or to upgrade to the new structure.
What’s my take on this?
Stay tuned because tomorrow I’ll be uploading a video explaining what I’ll be doing and why I’ll be doing it.
I have 11,000 subscribers in my account, and my subscription fee will increase from $40 to $149 if I upgrade to the new features.
Visit tomorrow and I’ll explain why it took me less than 10 minutes to decide what to do, and why most of the people discussing this on the marketing forums have the issue all inside out…

Sounds interesting Lee, and I’ll be round for sure to see what you’re saying. I have a rough draft post about this topic, but I still gotta do some sums first.
I think you accidently worded something wrong in your post… “As I currently understand the situation, all new customers will have the option to stay on their existing price plan or to upgrade to the new structure.” …That should have been current customers. (Just for anyone reading and maybe slightly confused! - Or maybe I’m confused now?!)
I can take a guess at what you’ll be doing, and maybe what the video is one…but I’m gonna wait and see as I don’t want to spoil the surprise for me! ;):D
Thanks
Mark

It is really a huge increase in price but I am sure it is worth it as we are able to track more thing.

It would seem that aweber are trying to capture a more profitable market in my opinion.
I don’t think this will make a great deal of difference to existing subscribers as I hear most people are more than happy with the service that Aweber supply and will upgrade accounts in due course.
Look forward to your video post tomorrow Lee.
