It took 8 attempts, but finally got DimDim to work. There was a problem with the plug-ins for both FireFox and IE and I kept getting the same error messages. DimDim wouldn't allow me to share secure websites using the "share website option." I also just tried Vyew. That worked the first time.

I've tried DimDim to host a webinar. It's good for hosting but the recording was in FLV and most people don't have FLV viewers. Also, the FLV didn't seem to work that well. I tried converting it to other formats and it didn't work.

Also, there are other issues. The sound was a bit choppy for the participants. Someone called in but just got elevator music and never reached us.

Pretty good for free but nothing yet beats GoToWebinar. GTW actually works.

I want to suggest you try http://www.showdocument.com - its an alternative tool for dimdim that allows document sharing and web meeting in real-time. all the participants in the session see each others' drawing, highlights, etc. It is free and requires no installation.
