Can you believe it’s almost a year since Lee-McIntyre.com was born?
11 months ago I was a struggling high school teacher not knowing what my future would hold. Fast forward a little and I’ve enjoyed a ride like no other. There have been ups and downs and LOTS of hard work, and I can safely say that I’ve enjoyed every second.
Now things here are going pretty well indeed. I have money in the bank, and every day I wake to discover yet more sales in my account.
But I’m still not happy. Why? Because I’ve never been content resting on my laurels and I’m not going to change now!
After much careful thought I’ve decided that I’m going to push my company through a massive and sudden expansion. I have so many exciting ideas for the future, and I’m increasingly of the view that it’s simply not possible to execute them all working with a virtual team from my home office.
And because of some offline projects I have just begun, I’m also in need of a physical client facing office.
With this in mind I’ve decided that this month I’m going to be relocting my work to a nice new shiny 3 person office in town.
I’m also going to be recruiting a project manager who can come in and manage the office, oversee some projects, and coordinate with my outsource team.
Yes this is a bold move, but it’s fun to be bold every now and then don’t you think?
In one week I’m going to be advertising for a full time worker in the local press. Before I get to that stage though I thought it might be a nice idea to post here to see if there was any interest from my readers in this position.
I’m still working out the exact details and terms of the post, but I’d love to hear if there was any reader interest before I promote this locally.
Are you potentially interested in relocating to Manchester, UK to join my company as a project manager?
If so open a support ticket here and let me know you’re interested. Please just supply some brief details including who you are, what online experience you have, and why you think you’d excel in this role.
I’ll personally reply to everyone, and if I think I’d like to hear more I’ll send you the full details in a couple of days and invite you to apply formally. My first choice is to hire a subscriber or blog reader, so if I get enough interest I’ll cancel the proposed local media ads and just interview those who respond now.
If you have any questions let me know in the comments below.

Good on you Lee, it’s something I thought you’d be doing in the near future! However, I didn’t expect it this quick!
It’s something that I hope to do in the future when I have the cash and my business is big enough.
And I might just send you a support ticket about this! I just never know my luck, and have been doing this for a little time…I have more knowledge than someone new I would think?!
Relocating to Manchester eh? Well being from the UK myself, I could fly up and down. (I wouldn’t do that each day but you see what I mean!)
Thanks
Mark

Nice one Lee. I think that’s a great move. I have a cleaning company offline and made the bold move to employ someone to do the bulk of contracts while I concentrate on IM.
I suppose it’ll give you more creative freedom and more time to produce products, mentoring etc rather than doing the mundane tasks we all love to hate.
Good luck!
DesDrec.

Lee! All the best for you,
You are the fastest growing Internet Marketer in a period in which a lot of people think that the IM is dieing! You are the living example… it is not dieing but some rules of engagements are changing as we speak. For some gurus are not easy to admit the new wave after years of preaching the old ways, and a lot of people are discouraged with IM.
The idea of having an Office will give you the full recognition as an expert, the position you offer is great, it will suit my experience as well, but to relocate from Verona, NJ, USA to Manchester is out of question.
I wish you a lot of luck and I am sure that the road to long life success is in his way for you.
I’ll keep an eye on you and on that you are teaching because you are in top of the Web 2.0 revolution.
Go ahead with full speed, and just don’t look back, looking back is a waist of time!
Regards
Michaela

Give me about a year Lee. You never know. That would be so exciting. But then again…I’m retiring next year. I’ll check out your new digs on my way through.

Hi Lee,
You certainly know how to surprize us all!
Good luck with the move and it will be a great position for whoever gets the manager’s job.
I’d go with an SSP member…
Thanks
Keith

That’s a tremendous move and one that I am sure will bring you a lot of satisfaction and a few challenges.
Drop me an email when you have a Job Description and Person Spec sorted (with salary details) as I might know a couple of people who would be interested.
Take care
Paul
