Good for you for taking some time off AND getting clearer focus on your business :)

Yes I've definitely felt like this before, and at times often! Stepping back and taking time to look at your business from a different angle works wonders sometimes.

Just recently I did up a spreadsheet detailing where my income is coming from and I was really shocked to realize I've been putting so much effort into a site that's been making me NO money while I was letting two profitable businesses/sites go unattended. I couldn't see this until I did up this specific spreadsheet because i was so focused on building up the new site and thought it would make me more money.

Now I've got a new plan to go back to those sites that were working and improve those before moving on to anything new. :)

Aarrrghhhh.......

So there are people out there suffering from the same ailment.

I wholeheartedly agree with you and the others Lee....right now I am struggling with how to set up my opt in page for the new ebook site I am launching.

Although the ideas I have seem good, when I try them in FrontPage and look at the results, I don't like them.

Is this called Analysis Paralysis? I think so.

I am going to be trying to work this stuff out in the next day or two and launch.

You can find more info at the blog:

Thanks again for all of your useful information.

I'm glad to see that I'm not alone with this!

I think sometimes it's easy to get too close to your business, and try to do too much at once, that a mini break is the only way to get some fresh perspective.

Thanks for the comments everyone. :)

Hi Lee,

I have been there before and it is not a good place to be. Being overwhelmed by an overload of "ideas" usually results in no "action".

I find it helps to do a brain dump from time to time and just release it all for 24-48 hours. When I return to "work" it is always with a fresh perspective.

Yep! I have totally felt that Lee. Hence my $172.67 question to you earlier this month. I have a really hard time of totally emptying my day and mind of anything internet/business related so I have found my days that I have taken off to be filled with thoughts of what I could be or should be doing and a jerking urge to get back to work. I still have trouble letting that go so I can truly take a break.

Maybe I need to watch football.

Lee,

I always make sure to take at least 1-2 days off per week to let my brain re-energize.

It works very well because after the days off, I usually feel refreshed, motivated to work, and have more ideas that can help my bottom line.

I know exactly where you're coming from!

All the best,
Brian Jinks
