Lee, you are right, motivation is important, but what if somebody is trying his best and still not succeeds.
I think it a combination of many factors:
• Yes, motivation is crucial
• Consistency of the work, and a lot of hard work
• Discipline, do just one project at a time
• Some of… being at right time, and right place, with other words, a little bit of good luck

By the way, the 3rd week is awesome, the best so far, the entire world is here: articles, Squidoo, JV, Blog… What is left for the next 5 weeks?

It all stems from having the right priorities.
