I was wanting to sign up for aweber - but it is not a viable solution for new customers who do not have a list... even 30 days free trial isn't enough time to build a list and make use of the features to judge whether ROI is consistent.

I am on some mailing lists that use aweber and was 100% going to sign up for aweber when I was ready to get creating my own list... but the new pricing structure makes it a non-starter.

I also spoke with a few people who have been in before the price increase and all of them have said the new features are not worth the hike in price as it doesn't bring about a similar ROI increase. In most cases, any ROI increase experienced was negligible (I don't know whether there is an option to downgrade again as I never asked).

It is obvious that it will make no difference to some people who have established lists - but the majority of email marketers do not make a living wage (the same in most online business opportunities).

It would be good if you could make a list of reputable alternatives to aweber where it will be viable for new marketers to get a good autoresponder service.

I agree. The new functions and possiblities are endless and it's a package tailor made for internet marketers. I've got a small list of subscribers in a few niches and believe like you do that it's best to upgrade your aweber account when you've got a sizable list.

I personally don't use aweber but have heard nothing but good things said about it. Though I would second guess that other autoresponder services will probably follow suit and set up their services in a similiar way. We'll have to wait and see.

I can understand why you are excited about this Lee. The extra granularity of your email campaigns should improve your sales. The downside, apart from the price hike, is the extra complexity in creating different emails for different groups of subscribers.

For newbies just getting to grips with Aweber this will probably be difficult to do and not worth it until they have a decent-sized list.

Definitely one for advanced marketers though.

I agree, the price increase is kind of hefty...but the upgraded price is justified for those in the affiliate arena. I suspect most won't upgrade until they feel comfortable, whether or not it will make that big of a difference from how they are currently using aweber for.

Thanks for the outstanding video. As usual your comments cover both sides of the coin.

As someone on the flip side from you, I can tell you that I can hardly wait until it is wise for me to upgrade.
