Your Treasure at the End of the Rainbow?

People often ask me if I miss being a full time teacher.
Well the answer is a huge YES.
I really believe that teaching is what I was born to do and I loved every second of being in the classroom.
In my last school I taught more than 300 children each week and the difference you’re able to make to their lives is nothing short of incredible.
Nothing beats sharing what you know with a bunch of young people and then having a sense of accomplishment that you’ve actually made a difference.
Below you can see a couple of pictures of my classroom on the day I stopped being a full time teacher…
Yes I do miss being a teacher BUT I love what I do now even more.
Why? Well now I get to teach thousands of people and not just hundreds.
Yeah it’s a different type of teaching, but the overall sense satisfaction from knowing I’ve helped someone towards their goal is just the same.
I still do volunteer work in local schools too, and no matter what my future holds this is something I’d never be able to stop.
In my view people try and sell in the ‘business opportunity’ market for all the wrong reasons.
I think one of the reasons I’ve been so successful so fast in this market is because I pride myself on being a teacher first and a marketer second. The money is great of course, but what use is money if you’re not happy?
Teaching is what motivates me. It’s what makes me happy.
And understanding this enables me to be more productive, create more value, earn more money and have more fun!
What motivates you? If you don’t know the answer then spend some time focussing on what is your “treasure at the end of the rainbow” and increased profits will surely follow…

Hi Lee!
I am from the province of quebec in canada and I am teaching English as a second language at the elementary level.
This is something that I realy love to do but the conditions are far from ideal, the money is not that good and retiring at the age 62 dosen’t excite me at all.
I am currently preparing another option, I am doing John Thornhill’s coaching program(sorry Lee, may be next time
)
Since I am a teacher too this post was special to me.
